Miami’s Wynwood Art District now has a larger Caribbean restaurant. Palatino Jamaican Restaurant will celebrate the opening of its new location – 3004 NW 2nd Avenue.

Jacksonville’s Urban Core – Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church
Jacksonville, Florida is the largest (physical size) city in the United States. Like most U.S. cities, there is an urban core that has been neglected and allowed to decline. But people live there. And churches, mostly small store-fronts or non-descript buildings provide a unifying element.
Once such facility is the Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church at 1401 Evergreen Avenue. Under the direction of Pastor Leroy Love, the church is looking to the future. First, with a painting project, then with a new capital fund-raising effort to build a new church.
